Welcome to the end of Week 7!  This Thursday and Friday I’ve been away at an APRE Cluster Meeting, with other APRE’s from around the diocese.  Throughout the 2 days we were presented with much information.  Many of the presentations have promoted much thought from myself.  Some of these include; reinvigorating the teaching of scripture (biblical texts) within our school; considering our schools Catholic Identity and enhancing this further, particularly in the area of developing spiritual spaces; the importance of prayer within our school and how this can be improved; and breaking open Pope Francis’ document, Fratelli Tutti to further inspire and challenge Catholic Education.  I look forward to bringing this back to school and sharing with staff and students to further enhance the Religious Education and Catholic Identity at St Benedict’s.
