APRE News
We’ve reached the end of another week at St Benedict’s and there’s still plenty happening! Prep Platypus did a wonderful job in leading us in assembly today, celebrating the assumption of Mary, Mother of Jesus. They prayed about Mary’s trust that she placed in God, and that we too might follow in Mary’s footsteps by living in faith and trust, by having the strength and courage to be kind and generous and by knowing that God is always with us. I always look forward to Prep assemblies, as I found out today, some other students do as well! In chatting with some of the Year 6 girls before assembly, they said to me how much they look forward to Prep assemblies, because “They’re all so little and cute”. I did remind them that it was them not too long ago as well!
A reminder that NEXT FRIDAY, 26 August, is our Book Week Parade. Students are invited to dress as their favourite character for the parade. Students may want to bring their uniform to get changed into afterwards, or choose to wear their costume all day - but a reminder that they are still required to wear their hat and closed in shoes for lunch breaks and while outside. The parade starts at 8:45am in the Hall. All parents, carers and family members are invited to attend!
