Welcome back to Term 4!  We started Friday with assembly being led by 4 Grasshoppers on the topic of the International Day of Peace.  They reminded us all that while peace is a global concept, it starts with each of us and how we treat others.  I particularly loved their scripture reference from John 14 which quotes Jesus, ‘Peace I leave you; my peace I give you’ - which (very coincidently) has also just been placed up in the Hall on permanent display (see image below).  It was a great assembly to start the term, and a fitting way to mark the first assembly in front of our new signage!

Mission Month

We are currently in the Month of October, which is known as Mission Month in the Catholic Church.  This year Catholic Mission Australia is supporting a local church in Ethiopia to support families with the construction and upkeep of a Goat Farm Project.  Students will learn further about this project throughout the month of October, and on Friday October 21, are invited to wear ‘Crazy Socks’ to school with a gold coin donation, which will go towards supporting this worthwhile project!
