APRE News
Welcome to the end of Week 6 - it’s been another big week with the Disco, Year 1 Excursion and the normal comings and goings of the classroom everyday. A big thanks to all those who were able to assist with the Disco, it was a great event and the kids who attended looked as though they had a ball!
Today the Year 3 Emus led us on assembly and did a wonderful job! Their assembly was on the theme of ‘The First Sunday of Lent’ - they looked at the Gospel when Jesus struggled in the desert for 40 days - and reminded us of the times in our lives when we feel things are tough and we are struggling, and reminded us that God is always present in our lives to give us strength to rise up and keep going. As we get into the “difficult” part of the term, where we are all starting to get a little weary, this was certainly a timely message!
Project Compassion
Each week, Project Compassion has a video to show how they are supporting people and communities around the world. Please see the link below to see one of the many projects around the world and to see where your donations might be spent. This week's story takes us to Zimbabwe and is about a woman named Priscilla.

A reminder that each classroom has a donation box, where any funds, even small contributions, can be placed to do something for someone else.
