Acting Principal's Report
Aspire Higher
Today we welcomed the Team from Unleashing Personal Potential (UPP) to work with our Year 6 cohort. The team worked on leading through example, influence and kindness. Through a combination of classroom based learning, fast-paced team events and learning each other’s strengths to ASPIRE Higher. The students have had a great day and we look forward to seeing their leadership shine through.
Working Bee
The summer has been wonderful for the growth and greening of our school grounds. As we continue to be Stewards of God’s creation, some careful management is needed. We are hosting a Working Bee on Sunday 19th March to focus on some weeding and hedging of our front gardens. Please see the flyer in this week’s newsletter and if you feel you may be able to help, please contact Mr Christie.
Parent Code of Conduct
A couple of weeks ago I included the Parent Code of Conduct (link here). I will continue to include this for the remainder of the term in a purposeful way to explore what this means in our school context. Research shows that building positive relationships between home and school is a key element in the improvement of academic achievement for students. To assist in this area, there are elements we ask that you support from home including those below. By working in partnership with your student in mind, parents and teachers can have a clear and positive relationship that takes into account all efforts, supportive problem solving and constructive feedback for growth.
Blessings
