Acting Principal's Update
We have come to the end of our run of short weeks. The shorter weeks can throw a spanner in the works to routine and we can all feel a little out of sorts. Hopefully with a return to the regularly scheduled weekly program, we will see the students settle into a good rhythm again and progress forward with their learning.
Our Year 4’s have had a great time at camp this week. There is valuable learning that can be gained from the integration of classroom and outdoor learning. The time at Gumburu is a great way to extend on our indoor/outdoor learning experiences here at St Benedict’s. Next week will see our Year 6’s turn at camp and they will get to challenge themselves on the high ropes.
I would like to remind our parents about gathering in the hall before and after school. It is wonderful to have so many community members here to support their children in the daily engagement. Please remember that the Hall is a learning environment and our teachers can struggle to keep the students engaged and on task when there are lots of parents gathered in the student areas.
We are on track at this stage for the opening of our temporary access road in a week’s time. I will have a more complete update after the site meeting on Wednesday next week. We are all reminded that when there is a change, we need to take time and be patient with each other.
Blessings
Ros
