Pastoral Care Coordinator News
St Benedict’s is taking part in National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 19 May 2023. Walk Safely to School Day encourages positive environmental action,
with reduced car-dependency and encourages parents and carers to walk more, reducing dangerous traffic congestion around schools. Being active everyday, including walking to school, can help make a difference for many Australians. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or carer - everyone has a role to play in helping children and young people to lead active healthy lives. Remember, Active Kids are Healthy Kids so start planning your own journey for Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 19 May 2023.
We will meet at the Greater Ascot lights on the house estate side. (See photo) Staff, students and those parents/carers wanting to join are to gather there and we
will walk across the lights at 8am together as a School community. We will then walk along the footpath on the left side of Dalrymple Road, crossing at the pedestrian crossing with Staff supervision and into the Kindy carpark gate, along the footpath and to the hall. We would love to have many happy walkers join this year!
We will meet here from 7:50am, leaving at 8am.
Yours in Support
