Guidance Counsellor News
Guidance counsellor – Barbara Salisbury
ACTION: Therapy Dog concerns feedback form…
Thank you to parents who have let me know about their child’s concerns regarding dogs. To assist in my Guidance Counsellor role, I have Honey who is a trained Therapy Dog. An important and essential start of school job for me is to make sure that children are comfortable having a dog within the school. Please read the letter attached to this Newsletter about Honey, and if your child has pet allergies or is worried about a dog in the school, complete the form and you can also talk with me directly if you have any questions.
This week’s recommendation – School TV

Our St Benedict’s community make good use of our School TV resource. If you are a new family to our school, I highly recommend that you become familiar with the sorts of information available to you.
The feedback I have received from last weeks recommendation has been very positive, so I thought I’d repeat it here just in case you missed it or had trouble locating the program on your iView account.
Our Brain series, particularly Episode 2 Smarter:

Great information to help us make informed choices on improving our own and our children’s capacity to learn, remember and overall think more clearly. Please trust me, this one hour of viewing will be life changing for you and your family!
