Principal's Update
Today, Year 5 Jellyfish class hosted our first school assembly for this term. With the shortened weeks we have not had the opportunity as a school to come together in an important way.
Regular assemblies help create traditions and rituals that define the culture of the school.
These traditions become part of the students' experiences and contribute to their school pride.
For a Catholic school, assemblies can emphasise shared faith, prayer, and values, helping students connect with their spiritual side and with one another as they listen and reflect on the life and teaching of Jesus.
The Year 5 Jellyfish class hosted a heartfelt school assembly in honor of Mother's Day. The students thoughtfully explored the significant role mothers play in our lives, expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the love, care, and support that mothers and mother figures provide every day.
Fun Run and Cross Country at St Benedict’s
I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all our students, staff, and parents for making this year’s Fun Run and Cross Country events such a resounding success! These events are a wonderful opportunity to promote physical activity, teamwork, and school spirit, and this year, we truly saw these values shine. A special thank you to Mrs Stevie-Lee Rowe and Mrs Kandis Huston for their organisation and coordination of these events.
Introducing Mrs. Rebecca Sholte – Our New Year 1 Possums Classroom Teacher
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Rebecca Sholte as the new classroom teacher for Year 1 Possums. Mrs. Sholte brings a wealth of experience, passion, and enthusiasm to our school community.
The Year 1 Possum students have made Mrs Sholte feel very welcome. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to all the wonderful contributions she will make to our school community.
School Supervision starts at 8:00am at St Benedict’s
A friendly reminder to all parents and carers that school supervision for students begins at 8:00am in the hall. Please ensure that students do not arrive at school before this time, as the hall is licensed for use by Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) until 8:00am.
Arriving after this time helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all students and allows the OHSC program to operate without disruption. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
