Principal's Report
This week has been a busy week with Prep enrolment interviews and school tours for prospective families. It is always such a joy to meet people interested in being part of our school and being able to tell them about the wonderful things we are working towards.
We were very proud to have had quite a number of students represent our school at the
Inter-school Cross Country this week with our highest place being Alannah with 12th out of hundreds of entrant across Townsville. Well done to all students as we are proud of your efforts and positive attitude on the day.
Today St Benedict’s is hosting our annual Athletics Carnival where I am sure students are participating to the best of their ability and have many parents cheering them along. Unfortunately, I am unable to be there but am currently on a break writing this at the Diocesan Learning and Teaching meeting which is quite involved but very inspiring as we discern the directions for our diocese. Exciting times ahead in learning and teaching. I am very grateful to the parents and staff who have planned and organised today’s athletics event and have complete faith that a wonderful day is being enjoyed by all.
This weekend we celebrate the wonderful blessings of mothers and mother figures in our lives. I hope that all our cherished mothers are treasured on this special day and shown the gratitude and love they deserve.
Cheers
Penny
