Building Progress Update

As you may have noticed our Stage 2 Project is tracking along very well with foundations laid and external walls erected in both classroom blocks and the extension to our staffroom. Once the work for the staffroom extension is complete, the builders will start work on the carparks but at the moment, the one closest to Kindy is a great access point.  It has been fun picking out colours for the new classroom blocks. The block next to the Green Block (current Year 1s and Year 3’s will be yellow and the block next to the Red Block current Year 4’s and Year 5 /6’s) will be teal.

Playground updates

The order has been placed for our senior playground after much back and forth getting the design right for our students. I have been so impressed with the maturity shown by our senior students in designing this and with the way they have liaised with the playground company to negotiate the best deal possible. Unfortunately they are very busy so construction is not likely till mid August.

As for the Early Years area, the much anticipated outdoor instruments have arrived and our landscaper will be installing them next week. Who knows, maybe the kids will get to try them out before the end of term?

State of Origin 2

Unfortunately the P&F have decided to cancel the Benny’s State of Origin event this Sunday as we are not confident in the level of interest. Raffle tickets will be drawn on Monday so if you haven’t got yours back yet, you have another day to do so. We are sorry for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause but trust you will enjoy the game wherever you are. Big thanks though,to our P&F team who did source some great prizes for the raffle.
