APRE News
It has been wonderful to have ALL of our students back this week. Walking around the school it certainly appears as though they are glad to be back in their class with their friends again. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing the positivity continue throughout the term as we get into normal classroom routines.
PENTECOST
This Sunday is ‘Pentecost’, which commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other disciples following the Ascension of Christ. It marks the beginning of the church’s mission to the world - to be filled and act with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
ADOPT-A-COWBOY
Our Adopt-a-Cowboy, Jordan McClean hasn’t been able to come and visit us recently due to Covid-19 restrictions. Recently though, our students were able to ask him 3 questions, which he has answered in the video at the link below. Jordan will Captain the Cowboys tonight, so we wish him and the team good luck as they restart the season.
Contemplative Corner
Windowpane Contemplation
- Look out the nearest window as if it's a painting or photo of a landscape or cityscape.
- What colors and patterns do you see?
- If you were a painter or photographer, how would you choose to represent this image?
- How does the image change when you move slightly forward and backward or take half a step to the right or left?
Working Bee
We are having a working bee to get the path started for our Bush Tucker Trail. We’d love it if you could come on Sunday June 7 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at the low oval. It is BYO wheelbarrows and shovels. Because of social distancing restrictions, we can only host 10 volunteers and ask that children be left at home. If you are able to come on the day, please email Mr Christie at nchristie2@stbenedicts.catholic.edu.au
