Year 2 Kingfishers have been having fun in Mathematics this term using a Body, Hands, Mind approach to learning.  To begin our week we use our Yumi Mat to explore a Math concept using our whole body.  We have used the Yumi Mat for our multiplication unit to make arrays and share equally.  We are now using our Yumi Mat in our mapping unit.  The students are having fun taking turns to be the Bee-Bot or the Programer and navigating their way around the mat to find the 'treasure'.
