Prep Platypus
We are nearly to the end of Term 3! We have welcomed our new student Eden. Lots of fun things happening in and out of the classroom. The Bookweek costumes created a lot of excitement. We also had an excursion to the park. This was to identify different things in the outdoors that match our senses and to help us get some ideas to design our sensory path at school. The Prep children also participated in a culminating activity about celebrations and how our senses can help us enjoy a party. We matched different experiences to our senses at the celebration, for example our hearing for the music in a game of statues and pass the parcel, our taste and smell for the foods, our touch for a game of pin the tail on the donkey, our sight and hearing for the party poppers! Our outdoor environment is lots of fun now and Preps have so much to do. Lots of children are enjoying the swings and the climbing pyramid. The children are really enjoying the AFL lessons on Fridays too. Lots more fun learning to happen in the next couple of weeks before the holidays.
