A big welcome back to everyone in our St Benedict’s Community!  It’s been great to see everyone back this week and all of the students have seemed to settle in nicely to the rhythm of the year - although I’m sure there will be some tired students (and teachers) over the weekend.

Sacramental Program

As you may be aware, we are part of the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, led by Fr Dave Lancini.  Each year, the Parish run a Sacramental Program for students to prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion.  If your child is in Year 3 or above and would like to participate in the Sacramental Program, you will be required to attend an information evening either next Monday 1st Feb (Ryan Community Centre) or Tuesday 2nd Feb (Good Shepherd Community Centre) at 7:00pm.  If you require any further information, don’t hesitate to either contact myself at school or the Parish Office on 47239844.  A note about the program will be in this newsletter.

For those unaware, Fr Dave is moving into retirement this year.  The parish has already received the two priests who will be looking after our parish, Fr Joseph and Fr Clement, who have been working with Fr Dave to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.

Date Claimer

Our assemblies this year will remain on a Friday at 8:45am in the Hall.  These will be starting in Week 5, Friday 26 February.  Our Beginning Year Liturgy will be taking place on Monday 15 February at 9:00am in the Hall.  This will be our last liturgy overseen by Fr Dave, with Fr Joseph and Fr Clement visiting to meet our community as well.
