Year 1 Wallabies
Year 1 Wallabies have been exploring and learning about our local Australian animals. In Science, students have observed and investigated Australian animals' features and how it helps them to survive in their habitats, such as how the animals move, feed and protect themselves.
All of year 1 had the opportunity to visit Billabong Sanctuary, where students got up close with koalas, wombats, snakes, and crocodiles. In class they have created clay sculptures representing an Australian animal and will create QR codes that link to them talking about their animal sculpture and its features. These experiences have linked in well with our eProject and the importance of caring for our Billabong.
