Wow, Term 3 over already. The Kookaburras have experienced so much this term that we thought we would share our best moments of this term.  STEAM projects this term have been a hit. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths or sometimes known as STREAM with the added R for Religion.  It involves the students selecting challenges and using various resources they have to meet these challenges.  The planning phase and improving phase is just as important as the actual making.  Some found these challenges are hard eg.  making a newspaper and foil chair strong enough to hold a teddy or a marble maze out of cardboard and straws.  The students are so engaged and on-task during these sessions and it is great to see them shine.  Here are some pictures of some of the projects.
