APRE News
We’ve reached the end of Week 2 - and what a busy week it’s been! I’ve been away with a group of students attending the Mulkadee Youth Arts Festival all week. It’s been exciting watching our students, with around 800 other students work together to put on what I’m sure is going to be a memorable show tonight. ‘Break a leg’ to the whole cast and crew of Mulkadee tonight!
Feast of Sts Joachim and Anne
Although I missed assembly, I hear the Prep Bilbies did a wonderful job celebrating the Feast of Sts Joachim and Anne - Jesus’ grandparents. They also spent time praying for grandparents and recognising the important role they play in our community today. I know even watching pickups and drop offs at school that our grandparents are extremely valued. I know I am grateful for mine and all they have taught me, and also to my parents and parents in law who play the role of grandparents for my own children - they are such great teachers, and those who are fortunate to have them in their lives and very blessed!
Feast Day REPEAT
Our St Benedict’s Feast Day is almost upon us, Friday July 30! It is always a wonderful day in which we celebrate as a school community what truly makes us who we are. I’d like to invite ALL members of our community to attend either our whole school Mass at 9:00am in the Hall, presided over by Fr Joseph or Fr Clement OR our ‘St Benny’s Got Talent’, again in the Hall from 2:00pm. It’s been exciting to see some auditionees for St Benny’s Got Talent, with performers for Friday’s concert hopefully being confirmed by next Wednesday.
Pax,
Nick
