We’ve reached the end of Week 4 - and we’re starting to get into the flow of the term nicely!  We started this morning being beautifully led in assembly by Year 2 Lorikeets on the theme of the Transfiguration of Jesus.  This feast celebrates the scripture in which God tells us to listen to Jesus and live out his message of justice and compassion.  Lorikeets finished the assembly by asking God to help us to listen to Jesus and be compassionate and loving people who strive to care for those around us.   

Burgers by the Billabong

It was wonderful to see so many families joining us for our annual ‘Burgers by the Billabong’ event.  I was behind the BBQ for most of the afternoon, but  it certainly felt like a great afternoon where our Benedictine values of Community and Love were there for all to see.  I enjoyed getting around to speak to many families, and our children certainly appeared to love being at school during the weekend!  As always, I look forward to our next community building event.
