Thank you to Mrs Rowe for preparing our students and coordinating our participation in this event. Thank you also to our teachers and staff for their support of our students and for the parents and carers who attended.
Mrs Rowe will make a presentation to our Futsal Students at assembly next Friday.

Mother’s Day Evening
Thank you to all parents and P & F, and staff for their organisation and coordination of last Friday evening’s Mother’s Day Wine and Cheese Night. This is a wonderful annual event and we encourage all mothers to come along next year.
Under 8’s Day
Today Under 8’s Day was a great celebration of the importance of the learning and development of our students in the early years. Thank you to all teachers and staff for their efforts in making this a fun learning time for our youngest students. Thank you to parents and carers who were able to attend.
This year's theme is 'Connecting to culture through play' and we welcome events which promote the universal right of every child to play and to celebrate diverse play traditions and experiences from different cultures.

Car Park Etiquette (before and after school)
Thank you to all our family members for following the school procedures at drop off and pick up and when entering the school car park. The before and after school procedures have been running a lot more smoothly lately, which is a credit to all parents and carers for being considerate of other students, parents and staff.

Welcome to the end of Week 5 - we’ve reached the half-way point of the term, and there’s still plenty of exciting events to come for the rest of the term! Today, the 2 Magpies presented their assembly on the theme of ‘the Ascension of Christ’, which marks the end of the Easter Season, when Jesus left us on earth, and reminded us to continue to spread the good news of God’s love for us by building a kingdom that is based on love, kindness and understanding. Last week, 3 Galahs presented a very special assembly on Mother’s day, and the important role that Mother’s play in our lives, with a beautiful prayer for mums, and our mother figures in our lives!
Benny’s Got Talent
You may start hearing about Benny’s Got Talent, as today it was announced that it’s coming back in 2024! Benny’s Got Talent will take place on Friday July 12 as a part of our Feast Day Celebrations. Students will be invited (by their teachers) to take part in 1st Round auditions in class in weeks 7 and 8 of this term. From here, our teachers will send 2 individuals/groups through to the 2nd Round of auditions in Weeks 9 and 10 in front of Mrs 5 and Mrs Pugh. Please note that for all of these auditions, students ARE NOT required to have constumes/props unless it is absolutely necessary (ie an integral part of the performance - like juggling batons). Students will be notified by the holidays if they have been successful in attaining a place in Benny’s Got Talent showcase on Friday July 12. On this day, students are welcome (although not required to) wear a costume. We are looking forward to seeing the wonderful talent that students at St Benedict’s have, and celebrating this as a part of our annual Feast Day.
